Installation

Connect the supplied power lead to the router
Connect ADSL Cable to the router
Connect Ethernet Cable (or USB Cable if applicable) from router to computer
Make sure that all firewall and/or other protections on the computer are disabled (such as norton, avg etc…)
Open your Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox.. Etc).
Type into the Address Bar   http://192.168.1.1
this will take you to the the ADVANCED LOGIN page.
type     admin         as User Name
admin         as Password      then click on O.K
this will open the Routers Interface.
Click on QUICK START (top)
this will open the QUICK START WIZARD
click on RUN WIZARD
click on NEXT
type in the following:     User Name         admin
Password            admin              then click on NEXT
make sure that the appropriate TIME ZONE is selected, then click on NEXT
Select the option  PPPoE/PPPoA          then click on NEXT
Enter your ISP User Name and Password into the appropriate fields
make sure the following options are set as follows:
VPI = 0
VCI = 38
CONNNECTION TYPE = PPPoA VC-Mux     then click on NEXT
click on NEXT to save changes
click on CLOSE to exit the wizard

The ACT light on the Router will be lit, when the Router is ready for use

Wireless Setup – WEP

Open your Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox.. Etc).
Type into the Address Bar   http://192.168.1.1
this will take you to the the ADVANCED LOGIN page.
type     admin         as User Name
admin         as Password      then click on O.K
this will open the Routers Interface.
click on INTERFACE SETUP > WIRELESS

NOTE: all options in this screen should be left as DEFAULT, unless specified otherwise below

under ACCESS POINT SETTINGS, please set the following:
Access Point = ACTIVATED
Channel = UNITED_KINGDOM        06
802.11b/g = 802.11B+G

under MULTIPLE SSID SETTINGS, please set the following:
SSID = <you can create a new name for the Wireless Network>
Broadcast SSID = YES
Authentication Type = WEP-64bits

under WEP, please set the following:
Select KEY #1
Enter the following 10 digit HEXIDECIMAL key:
e43f9ad2c1

All other settings should be left as default values.
Click on the SAVE button at the bottom of the screen, to save settings.

Now go to WIRLESS NETWORKS (bottom-right of screen, next to clock)
Right-click on WIRLESS NETWORKS, and click on VEIW AVALABLE WIRELESS NETWORKS
This will open a Wireless Utility.
You will see your Reuters SSID In the list
Double-click on your SSID name to connect.
You will be prompted to enter a Security Key
Enter the WEP key you created on the Router.

Check SYSTEM LOG for errors

Open your Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox.. Etc).
Type into the Address Bar   http://192.168.1.1
this will take you to the the ADVANCED LOGIN page.
type     admin         as User Name
admin         as Password      then click on O.K
this will open the Routers Interface.
click on STATUS (top) > SYSTEM LOG
scroll to the bottom of the log file.
can you see any error messages, from the bottom up?

CHAP Authentication failure means you entered your ISP Username or Password incorrectly

Hard Reset

Take a PIN and hold down the “Reset” button on the back of the router,
HOLD IT down for Approx. 10 – 15 seconds, then release.
All the L.E.D’s should go OFF, then come back ON.
Leave the Router to stand for a few minutes, for the reset to take effect.
