Installation

Connect power lead to the router
Connect ADSL Cable to the router
Connect Ethernet Cable \ USB Cable from router to computer
Make sure that all firewall and/or other protections on the computer are disabled (such as norton, avg etc…)
Open your Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox.. Etc).
Type into the Address Bar   192.168.1.1/main.html
this will take you to the the ADVANCED LOGIN page.
type     admin         as User Name
password    as Password
Click on ADVANCED SETUP (left-hand) > WAN
this wil take you to the WIDE AREA NETWORK SETUP screen
on this screen, you will see two settings:

VPI/VCI
0 / 38
0 / 35

click on the EDIT button for the (VPI/VCI) 0 / 38 connection setting.
this will take you through a Wizard

please make sure that the following settings are as follows:

VPI                                          0
VCI                                          38
Service Category                       UBR without PCR

click on NEXT

PPPoA over ATM (PPPoA)        checked / ticked
Encapsulation mode                 VC/MUX

click on NEXT

Now enter your ISP User Name and Password into the following boxes:

PPP Username
PPP Password
Authentication Method               AUTO

click on NEXT

Enable NAT                              checked / ticked
Enable Firewall                         checked / ticked
Enable WAN service                 checked / ticked
Service Name                           <this can be changed – your name… ISP account… etc>

click on NEXT

you wil be taken to the final screen – WAN SETUP SUMMARY
please make sure your settings are as follows, then click on SAVE:

now click on SAVE

the screen will refresh
now click on MANAGEMENT (left-hand), then click on SAVE / REBOOT
now click on the SAVE / REBOOT button on right.

the Router will now reboot itself. This may take a few minutes.
When the DSL or INTERNET light is lit, and solid, then the Router is ready for use.

please make sure that you have disabled all AntiVirus and Firewall Protection software

Now open your Web-Browser (internet Explorer… Firefox… etc).
You should now have Internet connectivity.

 

Hard Reset

Hold down the “Reset” button on the underside of the router,
HOLD IT for 10 seconds, then release.
All the L.E.D’s should go OFF, then come back ON.
When the INTERNET light is ON and SOLID, then the Router is Ready for use

 

Port Forwarding / Enabling NAT

Open your Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox.. Etc).
Type into the Address Bar   192.168.1.1/main.html
this will take you to the the ADVANCED LOGIN page.
type     admin         as User Name
password    as Password
go to ADVANCED SETTINGS (left-hand)
click on  NAT
click on ADD
Select  CUSTOM SERVER
Enter the following      Custom Server                     Enter a NAME for the connection
Server IP Address                (IP Address of computer port forwarding to)
External Port start               (external Port Number coming In)
External Port End                (external Port Number coming In)
Protocol                              TCP/ UDP
Internal Port Start                (Port number to be forwarded)
Internal Port End                 (Port number to be forwarded)
Click on SAVE/APPLY
Now got to MANAGEMENT (left-hand)
click on SAVE / REBOOT
click on the SAVE / REBOOT   button on right hand side

Your Router will be rebooted. This may take a few minutes.
when the INTERNET light is lit and solid, then the Router is ready for use.

 

Disable NAT

Connect power lead to the router
Connect ADSL Cable to the router
Connect Ethernet Cable \ USB Cable from router to computer

Open your Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox.. Etc).
Type into the Address Bar   192.168.1.1/main.html
this will take you to the the ADVANCED LOGIN page.
type     admin         as User Name
password    as Password
click on WAN (left-hand)
click on EDIT, to configure wan settings
keep clickin on NEXT, untill you come to the NETWORK ADDRESS TRANSLATION SETTINGS screen
Un-tick the ENABLE NAT option
Click on NEXT, then click on SAVE
once the page has refreshed, click on SAVE / REBOOT (left-hand)
now click on the SAVE / REBOOT button (in right-hand screen)
the Router will now save your settings and reboot the Router

 

Enable Web Access Control

Open your Internet Explorer and highlight the Address Bar
type into the address bar   192.168.1.1/main.html  (default address)
this will open a login prompt.
type     admin         for User Name
password    for Password
the Web-interface will open, and you should see the DEVICE INFO screen
go to MANAGEMENT > ACCESS CONTROL
this will take you to the ACCESS CONTROL _ SERVICES screen.
in this list, you will see    HTTP option
both the LAN and WAN options need to be ticked / enabled.
click on the SAVE / APPLY button
the screen will be refreshed
now click on IP ADDRESSES (left-hand)
click on the ADD button, and enter the EXTERNAL IP Address of the Remote Computer
now click on the  SAVE / APPLY button
you will be taken back to the previous screen.
now click on ENABLE  for the ACCESS CONTROL MODE
the screen will refresh.
Now click on PASSWORDS (left-hand)
open the drop-down box for USER NAME, and select  SUPPORT
now enter the following:    old password                supportuser
new password              (example) test
confirm password         (example) test
click on the SAVE / APPLY button
now click on the SAVE AND REBOOT button (left-hand)

the Router will now reboot and save all configuration changes made.
when the INTERNET light is lit and solid, then the Router is ready for use.

now log back into the Router.
at the Login Prompt, type the following:
User Name  =      support
Password   =       test

you should now have remote access to the Router.

 

DMZ

Type into the Address Bar   192.168.1.1/main.html
this will take you to the the ADVANCED LOGIN page.
Username – admin
Password – password
Click on NAT
Click on DMZ Host
Type in the Host’s IP Address
now click on SAVE

the screen will refresh
now click on MANAGEMENT (left-hand), then click on SAVE / REBOOT
now click on the SAVE / REBOOT button on right.

 

Change Logon Password

Open your Internet Explorer and highlight the Address Bar
type into the address bar   192.168.1.1/main.html  (default address)
this will open a login prompt.
type     admin         for User Name
password    for Password
the Web-interface will open, and you should see the DEVICE INFO screen
go to MANAGEMENT > ACCESS CONTROL > PASSWORDS
open the drop-down box next to USERNAME, and select      admin
enter   password    into the OLD PASSWORD field
now enter a new password into the NEW PASSWORD and CONFIRM PASSWORD fields
click on the SAVE/APPLY button at the bottom
once the page has refreshed, click on SAVE / REBOOT (left-hand)
now click on the SAVE / REBOOT button (in right-hand screen)
the Router will now save your settings and reboot the Router

Now try to log back into the Router using the new password
(the user name will still be   admin)

 

Firmware Upgrade

Please download the attached file to your desktop
Extract the files to a new FOLDER on your Desktop, and call the folder    UPGRADE
Type into the Address Bar   192.168.1.1/main.html
this will take you to the ADVANCED LOGIN page.
Username – admin
Password – password
on the main screen, click on MANAGEMENT > UPDATE SOFTWARE
Click on BROWSE
Browse to the Folder named UPGRADE, and highlight the file      BCMP 4 port.img   then click on OPEN
Now click on the UPDATE SOFTWARE button

The process can take up to 7 – 8 minutes, so please be patient. When your TASKBAR tells you ‘’LOCAL AREA CONNECTION IS NOW CONNECTED’’,
and when the LAN/WI-FI LED finally turns RED, then the Router will need to be rebooted.
