Installation

Connect power lead to the router
Connect ADSL Cable to the router
Connect Ethernet Cable \ USB Cable from router to computer
Make sure that all firewall and/or other protections on the computer are disabled (such as norton, avg etc…)
Make sure that the computer is set to Obtain IP Address automatically
Click on START > RUN > CMD / COMMAND > Type IPCONFIG > Your IP Address should be 192.168.1.X
and the gateway should be 192.168.1.1
If not check – firewall, cables properly connected, IP Address set to obtain automatically
Open your web browser and type in 192.168.1.1
Username -Admin     Password – Admin
If a “OnePage Configuration” comes up instead > Make sure that the settings
are correct and Enter your ISP Username and Password in the required spaces.
Or Click Advanced and continue below
Click on New Connection on the left-hand-side menu (Under Setup)
Check settings for the UK:
Encapsulation PPPoA VC MUX
VPI = 0
VCI = 38
Enter your Username and Password (provided from ISP)
Click APPLY
Click on Tools > System Commands > Save all
Same Page > Click on RESTART

Bad ISP Username / Password entered?

Open your web browser and type in 192.168.1.1
Username -Admin     Password – Admin
Click on STATUS (top) > SYSTEM LOG (left-hand)
On the SYSTEM LOG page, you will see two windows.
Scroll to the bottom of the first window, and read the log from the bottom, to the top.
Can you see any errors stating BAD USER NAME AND PASSWORD,
or CHAPS AUTHENTICATION FAILED?

Wireless Setup – WEP

Open your web browser and type in 192.168.1.1
Username -Admin     Password – Admin
Click on Wireless > Click on Security
Select the required Level
WEP(for example)
Enable WEP Wireless Security
Type in Encryption Key
Please enter space between every two characters
For example AD 32 C1 56 B2
you can change the charecters
numbers from 1-9 and letters A-F
Click on Tools > System Commands > Save all

Port Forwarding

Open your web browser and type in 192.168.1.1
Username -Admin     Password – Admin
Add a New LAN Client:
Click on Advanced
Click on LAN Clients
Add the New IP Address
Apply
Click on Port Forwarding
Choose the Connection
Choose the LAN IP
Search for the Rule or Create a new one by Clicking on User
Click on NEW > Name the rule > Enter the required Ports
Apply
Click on Port Forwarding
Choose the Connection
Choose the LAN IP
Click on User and add the New rule to the “Applied Rules” Table
Click on Tools > System Commands > Save all
Same Page > Click on RESTART

Hard Reset

Hold down the “Reset” button on the back of the router,
HOLD IT for 10 seconds, then release.
All the L.E.D’s should go OFF, then come back ON.
When the ADSL light is ON and SOLID, then the Router is Ready for use

Change LAN IP address

Open your web browser and type in 192.168.1.1
Username -Admin     Password – Admin
Click on Setup > LAN Configuration > Configure
Change the IP Addrress as required
Apply
Click on Tools > System Commands > Save all
Same Page > Click on RESTART

Non-NAT

Open your web browser and type in 192.168.1.1
Username -Admin     Password – Admin
Click on Setup > LAN Configuration > Configure
Change to the static Router IP Address as provided
from the ISP
Apply
Log-in using the static IP Address
with same username and password
Click on Firewall / NAT Services
Uncheck Enable Firewall and NAT Service
Apply
Click on Tools > System Commands > Save all
System Commands > Click on Restart

DMZ

Right Click on Network Places > properties or Click on Start > Connect to > all connections
Right Click on the Local Area Network that you are using >Properties
Click on TCP/IP > Properties
Choose to use the specific IP Address
IP Address: 192.168.1.50
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Dns Server 192.168.1.1
Click on OK
Open your web browser and type in 192.168.1.1
Username -Admin     Password – Admin
Click on Advanced
Click on LAN Clients
Add the New IP Address (192.168.1.50)
Apply
Click on Advanced
Click on Port Forwarding
Click on DMZ
Selesct the Lan IP address  (192.168.1.50)
Check Enable DMZ
Apply
Click on Tools > System Commands > Save all
System Commands > Click on Restart

Setup Remote Access

Log into your Router.
Click on ADVANCED (top) > ACCESS CONTROL (left-hand)
Click on the Tick Box to enable ‘ENABLE ACCESS CONTROL’
Click on the WEB Tick Box under WAN list, to allow connection
Now enter the IP ADDRESS of the computer you wish to remotely access from,
into the drop-down box next to  ‘NEW IP’
Click on the ADD button to enter settings
Now click on APPLY at bottom of screen
Click on TOOLS (top) > SYSTEM .COMMANDS (left-hand) > click on SAVE ALL.
Click on SYSTEM COMMANDS (left-hand) again.

NOTE:     If your Router is WIRELESSLY ENABLED, then you will need to click on
RESTART ACCESS POINT

If your Router is NOT wirelessly enabled, then you will click on
RESTART

Once this has been done, the Router will reset itself.
When the ADSL light on the Router is LIT and SOLID, then the Router is ready for use.
