Installation 

Connect power lead to the router
Connect Ethernet Cable to the routers INTERNET port
Connect Ethernet Cable \ USB Cable from router to computer
Make sure that the computer is set to OBTAIN AN IP ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY
Make sure that all firewall and/or other protections on the computer are disabled
(such as norton, avg etc…)

Open your Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox.. Etc).
Type into the Address Bar   192.168.1.254, then click on ENTER
Username – <BLANK>     Password – <BLANK>
This should open the Web-interface on STATUS

Do you have an INTERNET IP ADDRESS

if YES, then plese re-open the Internet Explorer, and see if you have Internet connectivity

if NO, then you will need to do the following:

in the Routers Web-interface menu, click on ADVANCED > WAN PORT
down the list, you will see the option  CLONE MAC ADDRESS
to acquire the MAC address of your Computer, you will need to do the following:

Go to START > RUN, type CMD, and click on O.K.
Type into the DOS screen:  ipconfig /all,  then click on ENTER.
you should see ETHERNET ADAPTOR LOCAL AREA CONNECTION
Under this, you should get a list of numbers, which will include: IP ADDRESS,
SUBNET MASK, DEFAULT GATEWAY, DHCP and PHYSICAL ADDRESS
(NOTE: the IP ADDRESS is your PCs IP, and the GATEWAY is your devices IP)
Your IP ADDRESS should be                        example 192.168.1.xxx ( x = 1 – 254),
SUBNET MASK should be                             example  255.255.255.0,
DEFAULT GATEWAY should be                    example  192.168.1.1
PHYSICAL ADDRESS should be                   example  00-2F-34-0D-A1-C3

Make a Note of the PHYSICAL ADDRESS

Now open your Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox.. Etc).
Type into the Address Bar   192.168.1.254, then click on ENTER
Username – <BLANK>     Password – <BLANK>
This should open the Web-interface on STATUS
Click on ADVANCED, in left hand menu.
Click on WAN PORT.
You should see in the menu, the option for CLONE MAC ADDRESS.
Enter the PHSYICAL ADDRESS here.
NOTE – type the address without SPACES, COMMAS or CAPITAL LETTERS.
When you have finished, click on SAVE at bottom of screen,
Then on LOG OUT in left-hand menu.

Now re-open the Internet Explorer, and see if you have Internet connectivity

 

Clone MAC address

Go to START > RUN, type CMD, and click on O.K.

WEP Setup

Open your web browser and type in 192.168.1.1
Username – <BLANK>     Password – <BLANK>
Click on Wireless
Click on Security
Check Set WEP Key
Key Length – 64-Bit
Key Format – Hex 10 Characters
Default Tx Key – Key 1
Enter Encryption Key 1:
Enter HEX Key:
HEX:
Characters – Letters A-F and/or Numbers 0-9
64 Bit – 5 Pairs
Example:
E4 0F 9A D2 C1
Click on Save

Port Forwarding

Connect power lead to the router
Connect Ethernet Cable to the routers INTERNET port
Connect Ethernet Cable \ USB Cable from router to computer

Click on ADVANCED in left-hand menu, then click on VIRTUAL SERVERS.
Tick the ENABLE VIRTUAL SERVERS.
Now open the drop-down box next to SERVERS, and choose a Sever type (Apache, VNC etc, etc).
Enter your Computers Internal IP ADDRESS into the LOCAL IP ADDRESS window.
Now open the drop-down box next to PROTOCOL and select.
Now Click on SAVE.
Now click on LOG OUT in the left-hand window.

Hard Reset

Connect the power cable to the Router.
Get a Pen or a Pin.
On the rear of the Router is a RESET button.
Press the RESET button down for approx. 5 seconds
(until the AMBER LED goes out)
Then release the RESET button.
The Router will now reset itself to Factory Default settings.
When the INTERNET LED is lit and solid, then the Router is ready for use.

Change Router Password

When a user creates a new logon PASSWORD,
an option is not provided for USER NAME
you will need to do the following:
Log into the Router
Enter   Admin   as the USER NAME
then enter your assigned PASSWORD (that you created)

Open your web browser and type in 192.168.1.254
Username – <BLANK>     Password – <BLANK>
Go to ADMINISTRATION (left), UPDATE FIRMWARE
Click on the BROWSE button, and browse to the .bin file that you just downloaded / extracted
Double click on the file to select it.
Now click on START UPGRADE
Wait a few minutes for the settings to take effect.
Once the INTERNET light is lit and solid, then the Router is ready for use.
