Connection Issues (Wireless)

There is a known issue that appears with the Cable Broadband Wireless DNS passthorugh.

If you had a working wireless connection that suddenly drops after you have booted up the router, please try the following

Windows XP

Click Start > Control Panel > Network Conenctions.
Right Click on the wireless connection and select properties.
Location Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), highlight and click on the properties button.

Click Use the following DNS servers addresses

Enter as Primary 194.168.4.100
Enter as Secondary 194.168.8.100

Click Ok. Come out of the other menus.

Windows Vista

Click the button in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen
Control Panel
Network and Internet
View network status and Tasks

On the connection for your wireless, click on the View status link on the right.
On the window that comes up, click properties
Click continue if it asks for permission
Click on internet Protocol Version 4 and then click the properties button

At the bottom, check the Use the following DNS server addresses
Enter the following numbers in
Preferred DNS: 194.168.4.100
Alternate DNS: 194.168.8.10

Click Ok, and click Ok for the previous window.
